This has been the second trip to India that I have made with Vacation India.
The first one only lasted one day as my father passed away and we had to go back quickly. I will never forget how Vikas managed to change our return flights that were for 10 days later and in two hours we had them ready to return. Thanks.
This second trip has been perfect, the hotels, the guides, the drivers, all very professional. We have been to Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and Bombay. One day we had to make a change of plans and were quickly given other interesting options.
What I wanted to highlight the most is the security that having a team of professionals who listen to you during the trip and who attend to your problems and solve them gives you. This gives great peace of mind when you are so far from home.
Thanks to Vikas, Jorgelina and in her day to Laura. A hug and until the next trip to India that is closer.
India Nepal Tour – From India to Nepal from December to January

2 weeks India, 1 week Nepal – flight home from Kathmandu to New Delhi (overnight stay in New Delhi) return flight to Frankfurt the next morning
We would like to emphasize that the travel program corresponded to our ideas and wishes. The drivers and guides were all very personable and very knowledgeable throughout the trip.
During the trip to India everything went to our satisfaction. Except that the last night we had dinner at the restaurant of the Grand Godwin Hotel in New Delhi and we got very sick afterwards. We were the only guests in this restaurant, probably the ingredients of our dishes were not very fresh. We threw up all night. It was so bad that we weren’t sure if we could catch our return flight the following morning. We then had severe diarrhea for another week.
Although we were quite satisfied with the tour of India, apart from the incident mentioned above, we can only give the rating poor because there was a lot to complain about during our tour of Nepal.
The program offered by Park Land Lodge in Chitwan National Park was very interesting and we really liked it. The resort looked nice from the outside, but our room and especially the bathroom was very dated, not clean and very unkempt. The air conditioning didn’t work properly so we suffered cold. The dining room was also neglected, the food didn’t taste good.
The Raniban Retreat in Pokhara was exceptionally beautiful in terms of location, but our room could not be heated, night temperature in the room was 2 degrees. We never received the extra blankets that were promised to us. In general, the service was a disaster, we had to wait half an hour for breakfast, which was served at the table, and we were the only guests apart from another couple with a child. You also had to lug your luggage up and down 1.5 km. The car had to stop down in the village because it couldn’t go up the road, to go up this road you would have needed a jeep. In addition to the 400 steps that you had to climb (we were informed about this in advance), there was an additional 1.5 km. The hotel would have sent us a gentleman and a petite lady to carry our luggage. You really couldn’t ask this lady to carry the luggage and so my husband carried the luggage himself.
The car, an older broken Fiat, was the main problem during the Nepal tour. The cooling water boiled over 8 times and the driver had to stop again and again to refill up to 3 liters of cooling water. He could only drive at a very low average speed (between 30/40 kilometers per hour). During the whole trip we lost a lot of valuable time because of this broken car. But the worst part was the drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (170 km), we drove 10 hours, were overtaken by trucks and buses and finally had to be picked up by a Skoda, otherwise we probably would never have arrived in Kathmandu.
A discovery

A trip organized by a great agency, BBB (good nice cheap)
We had problems traveling and part of the group traveled 2 days later, this was not a problem, Vikas helped us with everything and always provided solutions to our problems.
It is a 100% recommended agency, serious, with good contacts. Do not hesitate, they are the best.
Thank you!!

Our trip has been wonderful, accompanied at all times! Laura, Jorgelina and Vikas, we can only thank you! For the before and for the during. You have helped us at all times! We have felt cared for and welcomed from the second one. Also mention our first driver Madan, he was great with us!
India, a great trip full of contrasts that leaves no one indifferent

Normally all the trips that my wife and I take are usually organized by ourselves, but in this case we decided to opt for an organized trip and we made the right decision.
The first contact was with Laura from VacationIndia who made us a tailor-made circuit to which we asked for a small change to adapt it more to what we wanted to see. Once we arrived in India, Vikas was in contact with us at all times for anything we might need and to answer any questions.
In a country as big as India and with so many people, it is very easy to feel lost and overwhelmed with so much stress (many people want to sell you many things), but the guides that we had in each city (Vipul, Manesh…) acting as a shield so that they do not overwhelm us, which is greatly appreciated. We have friends who went on their own and told us that the stress they went through was so great that they did not enjoy the experience. That was the main reason why we took this pack with VacationIndia.
Also, Gulab, our private driver, took great care of us, he was very attentive and we always had bottled water and mango juice 🙂
The temples are amazing, they are well worth it. And there were towns that we visited, such as Khimsar, where the children stopped us just to say hello or shake hands, we are their tourist attraction 🙂 And the coexistence between different religions is admirable.
In India you can eat for very little, but we choose to go to more expensive restaurants (similar prices to Spain) to avoid possible diarrhea. We didn’t want this trip to become a nightmare because of cheap food. By the way, the food is delicious!
By the way, keep in mind that in India you have to tip practically for everything, we in Barcelona were not used to that.
Highly recommended experience, and not only for the Taj Mahal, but for the whole culture.
